The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"While average graphically, it tells an entertaining crime tale. Difficulty level: easy."

4 people commented on this game (newest first):

A good Slasher's vintage. Entertaining and well written. My only grief is that the investigation is solved simply by exhausting all the dialogs.

I enjoyed the game overall. It certainly has its moments and some interesting references that make a play-through fun.

The graphics are about average, nothing special, but they serve the purpose. Only the walk cycles for the female characters were a bit weird and could use some work.

The puzzles are all in all logical, with some good ideas here and there, though in the end rather repitetive.

With about 35 minutes of play time, this is a nice snack for hungry players.

A really stellar game! The puzzles were just the right level of difficulty, there was great variety in the gameplay with many different locations to explore, and the story was nicely fleshed out! I enjoyed the characters very much too. I particularly liked the opening sequences where you were exploring the different rooms interviewing everyone, I kind of wish there were more clues to be found in that section. Snooping through files and putting the pieces together is always fun! I think this is a really strong game in general, if I have one minor criticism it is that sometimes the puzzles have the same solution so it got a touch repetitive. At least there were various humorous outcomes to solving each puzzle, even when the method was the same. Other than that minor quibble, I think it's top-notch!

Quite long for a mags entry. The game makes you part of a pulp novel story, playing with genre tropes and cliches. Very good game.
