The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Speed Buggy: Manifold Destiny was made for the September 2014 MAGS Contest, the theme of which was "Cross Country", meaning a depiction of a journey.

The game is based on an old kids' cartoon show called "Speed Buggy" in which an intrepid racing team, with a talking car, tour the world's racing circuits while getting caught up in all kinds of adventures.

This game hopes to recapture some of the charm of this old Saturday-morning gem.

I seen this game popup on the forums recently and was intrigued.

I have a very short attention span and find it hard to play most games through to the end, be it big commercial games or small indie games.

I really liked this game, ignoring some of the obvious gfx been out of place.

The puzzles are rather complexed but not overly complexed that they don't make sense, though i did have to look up further information on a few of them.

Overall it was fun to play and an insight into how to build puzzles.

A fair game that was quite puzzling and as a MAG it was quite intriguing. Some of the puzzles were hair tearing and the jibes and dialog were good. Would love to see a fully blown game with more in-depth play and animations. Lack of animations and other stuff for this MAG, due to the lack of time, did not deter me from playing. Good idea executed quite well. Would love to see more games in the future from Mandle.

Rock on Speedy ;)

It was a real lot of fun playing this game. So much puzzles that keep you entertained. A well done game especially for a MAGS – bravo!
Don't miss it – I definitely recommend you to point and click your way through it! <:3)~

I really enjoyed playing this game. I think anyone who likes cartoons and especially anyone who likes speed buggy and/or other cartoons around that time would like this game. There were a few places where I had trouble getting further in the game but I was able to get some hints or figure it out myself.

Good decent point&click puzzles, some not that easy either, which is good if you like a challenge.
A nearly impossible maze, which can be slightly frustrating, so take it with ease and you'll probably get it must faster that I did. ;)
And you'll get so caught up trying to solve and beat the game, that soon you won't even notice the limited animations. :)

A great MAGS game funny to play with old school challanging puzzles really well designed.
Give it a try!

PHEW!!! It's been a race to get the game finished and ready for the September 30th deadline. Of course, not everything is as polished and nice as I had planned.

I'll probably do some polishing up at some point in the future and release a more complete product.

Until that time comes, I hope people can get some fun out of this game, even if only a little...
