The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

The re-make (more like entirely new game based on the old version) of my training game, Living Nightmare. You are James, a 20 year old, who is thinking back to the past, and his memories of one of the worst nights of his life. You now take control of a 5-year-old James. WARNING: There are some scary moments, so either read the spoilers included if you're a wuss, or just don't play at all.

AGS Panel Review

"As a remake of Living Nightmare, Domithan has improved virtually every aspect of the original to present a more 'complete' adventure. The main issue with the game, though, is the oddly stilted puzzles (throw soap at painting?) that force you to to think like the author rather than logically to come to the 'right' conclusion. Add to that very little real explanation for what the protagonist is suffering from ultimately and a relatively short length and you're left with a game that, while certainly a marked improvement over the original, isn't quite what it could be. Still, if you're in the mood for one of the 'darker' games, Living Nightmare Deluxe might be just the thing for you."

A good experience. Yes, gameplay is abit stretched, but disagreeing from other reviewers, I think the lack of explanation/s adds something worthy and unique to it.

The next one gets a bit more intense and dark, as James is now an adult. I think it will suit you when it's out, Duals :D

The atmosphere is really there, and I'm just begging this can get a little more weird and disturbing!

Great atmosphere is the strong point of the game, done really well. I feel the story was missing something though to make this a more complete game.
