About this game
Snakes of Avalon is a dark, twisted comedy about alcoholism, family issues and insidious murder. Mixes the style and plot twists of Hitchcock's suspense thrillers with surreal trips, bodily dysfunctions and Arthurian symbolism. + polska wersja jezykowa!AGS Awards Nominations

AGS Panel Review
"An interesting look at the life of a barfly, Snakes of Avalon presents the player with a series of real (or are they imagined?) puzzles and events and, for the most part, keeps the interest of the player. Some odd puzzle design choices and a deceptively non-comedic storyline notwithstanding, Snakes of Avalon is definitely worth a look."

Snakes in particular reminded me a bit of HillBilly's "Merry Christmas, Alfred Robbins" - which you should play as well, if this is your style of game. Overall very well done, and deserving of all of the accolades that it has received.
Also, I should mention that the soundtrack is awesome. If there's one thing that keeps me playing a game, even when stumped by a puzzle, it's good sound design, which this game has in spades.
Overall, it is a very good game which deserves a look if dark humor is your cup of tea - which mine certainly is.
The graphics are not the best, but the originality of the story and the immersive atmosphere sure make up for it.
Overall opinion: Not the game for me, but still one of the better AGS games when looking at production values and quality.
The graphical style is unique and interesting, but I wouldn't call it too pretty for most part. Facial animation seems very clunky on most parts. The voice acting if fairly well done, but for some reason it seems that most of the game did not have any voice acting (only cutscenes). The music was very enjoyable, and deserves praise.
This is one of the best medium length AGS game I've played to date, be sure to check this out!
I liked this game, I would definitely love to play another game by the author - one of the puzzles was a little too illogical though, so I had to get hold of a walkthrough for some hints. Graphically speaking, interesting and quirky, bright too, I'd play it again just to listen to the in-game music. Wish the game was longer though, and not limited to the bar. Playing the game, I could almost smell stale beer wafting off during the closeups of the main protaganist.
