The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

Corporal Merrick was on leave one evening and tried to hook up with some cute vampire twins. In an attempt to impress them, he allowed himself to be made into a vampire. Unfortunately his army found out and enrolled him in a secret experimental bionic implant program. Now half vampire, half robot, and more than half confused, Merrick must escape the base where he is being held or spend the rest of his life being drip-fed poodle blood to keep him obedient! Can you help Merrick escape?

This game is brought to you by SWARMAGS, a collective of AGSers who collaborated on everything from art to writing. The idea behind the Swarm Project was to create something cooperatively that no one developer could ever have conceived of him/herself. AGS Panel Review

"Short, but very funny, well-designed and well-paced game developed through an experimental AGS community project model in which the more contributors the merrier. The end result is packed with catchy tunes, sexy vampire powers, and some particularly great comedic voice-acting from the male lead."

4 people commented on this game (newest first):

They must've had fun doing this. The mad scientist was pretty shocking - better not play when you're forced to interrupt your sleep in the middle of the night. My favorite was the robot - voice and replies. All voices added much to the quality of the experience. However, I felt that the presence of the vampire girls would have benefited from better defined voices. The game length and one-room puzzles were suitable for a comedy act. One wonders what "vampire theme" new elements will be used in the next episodes.

Recommended, an interesting community experiment with remarkable puzzles and characters. Excellent voice acting (especially Merrick)!

I enjoyed this game and I hope they will make more collaborations like this in the future.

A fine game with a staff roster longer than that of your average AAA game.

As a development experiment, it's quite interesting and I'm sure it was a lot of fun to participate in it. Unfortunately the game feels more like disconnected one-room games than a coherent experience. The graphics are pretty good, especially considering the low resolution and color count. While on the first impression each room seems to provide a rich environment, in practice they are rather empty and most of the objects yield short descriptions. There are a few nice puns in the item descriptions, but that's it for humor.

The voice acting adds a nice touch, but some of the voices don't match the characters well. Sadly the music didn't play on my system, because it's reportedly good.
