The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

Close window
If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

About this game

In this medium-length game inspired by Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis, Indy makes a surprising discovery while searching the Paris catacombs, that will put him on the trail of a Viking with a sense of humour. This is a fun game to lift you up during the winter holidays.

This game looks tremendous. Unfortunately I have some technical issues with it:

- I could only set the language once after first installing - after this changes in the setup menue do not result in anything - even after uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

- The first riddle in the catacombs cannot be solved (I entered correct numbers - to be sure even checked with a play through video that I did everything correct) - the game does not react.

- On one computer I received the message "log file could not be created" when starting the game.

- I tried installation in various folders, starting game and setup with admin rights... nothing worked.

I am sure the game is amazing but maybe someone can tell me how to make it running...? Thanks!

Very fun game. Not too long but captures that retro LucasArts vibe nicely.

Great game! It captures the feel of the original games and provides quite a challenge. The puzzles are original and not on the easy side.

This little game/demo is so well done! If you liked the originals, you have to try it. I enjoyed it as least as much, if not more.

A great demo of a promising project. A longer review and a longplay for those stuck can be found here:

A great throwback to the classical Indy adventures - it's really successful at capturing the magic of the original and giving you those nostalgic vibes AGS was made for. I found the puzzles challenging but ultimately fair and overall the game was surprisingly long and meaty for what I expected to be just a short promotional piece. Very nice Christmas present! :)
