About this game

Young Jeffrey Carter has it all: a great flat, a good job and a beautiful (and rich) fiancee. One day however his peaceful life is turned upside down when he receives a mysterious message from his estranged sister. What starts as a journey to atone for past failings soon takes a sinister turn. Little does Jeff know that the adventure of his lifetime is about to begin... November 17, 2011: Version 1.1 uploaded

Wonderful game. The visual style might not be the best, but the story quickly manages to get your attention. Well crafted characters.

IMO the dialogues are superb. I didn't get bored a single time and they really manage to shape character personalities in a matter of seconds.

Puzzles are very good, although in part a little circumstantial.

If Graphics/GUIs/Controls would be redone (it mostly uses AGS' standard built in's) this could easily be a great commercial game.

This is a very good game. The graphics are sometimes crude, sometimes average and sometimes very cute and detailed (especially the parkscene). The soundtrack is generally well chosen and fits the atmosphere. Speaking of, the atmosphere is definitely the strongest part of this game. The storyline is original and interesting, there are several locations to visit and there are many puzzles that can be solved in which order you like. This is definitely necessary because they are difficult but also rewarding. On some occasions I needed help because they were a bit too convoluted but generally they were all logic.

This game takes quite some time to complete because of the puzzles and exciting story. If you want to play a full length game with fantastic immersion and clever old-school puzzles this is the game for you.

Highly recommended!

Thoroughly immersive and enjoyable. The not-so-great-graphics didn't interfere with the gameplay at all, and the charcters and story were great. Can't wait for the next episode.

Fine writing, well depicted characters and some old school puzzle solving, I am enjoying this greatly! Tip: have a walkthrough handy, because old school puzzles can give you a headache sometimes!

REALLY nice game. smooth gameplay, only drawback is that sometimes, when you're close to an exit, you have to walk away a bit before you can leave. Also, there is music stutter everytime you switch rooms.
But, nice sequence of events, good characters, fun puzzles. Looking forward to part 2!

Don't let the looks deceive you. The Far Corners Of The World offers a well written and well paced storyline, a few hours of gameplay and many challenging puzzles.
Putting aside some minor letdowns (like forced puzzles and hard to guess solutions), TFCOTW succeeds in pulling you into its game environment. A brilliant example that graphics aren't everything.
