About this game
In The Vacuum, you play as Leo Wallace, a student at Aberdeen University who is headed back home to Whitefall for summer with his girlfriend, Averie Piper. As a pair of poor, starving college students, they decide to book a cheap room on a cargo ship that has extra room for passengers on this particular trip. It's a short jaunt - only a day and a half - and it seems as though it should be uneventful. But when a pair of explosions tear through the passenger compartment while the ship is still in the middle of deep space, Leo and Averie must determine exactly what happened, fix the problems, and discover what - or who - caused the explosions in the first place.Leo must search high and low for information, pay attention to the clues that he finds, and carefully weigh every decision he makes. Based on his actions, his relationships will be altered, justice will be realized (or not), and lives will be saved or lost.

AGS Panel Review
"This eerie space adventure set on a space liner evokes a good atmosphere and includes some entertaining (if limited) dialog exchanges. The game is quite short, however, and one of the endings seems to punish you for making the most logical decision. Fortunately, neither of these issues should keep most people from enjoying this game."

The graphics are average and so was the availability of interaction between many objects. Maybe it all boils down to a different style of gameplay, since this game's outcome depends more on your decisions and witty conversations rather than item collection and the main character's actions.
Original storyline, I believe it can run even deeper if you would spend time into making a related sequel. Overall, good job with the psyche, backstory and dialogues and best wishes in your future endeavours.
Maybe the very story itself and the outcome are a bit commonplace and predictable - it doesn't matter, because of the _heaps_ of game endings. Indeed, it's quite a rare occassion, when the answer you choose in the dialogue really affects the game flow and the outcome. Not just "Choose Ending A, B, or C" - in the final dialogue.
Overall, enjoyable piece of gaming, not very long and not very hard to play, moreover vastly replayable.
Go on! make beautifull new games!
The story evolves not that surprising as i hoped, but it still works very good. I really hated the size of the cargo bay , but anyway its good game!
Curious players will end up wasting time walking around big storage areas where there is nothing awaiting for them. There are few to no puzzles, and I found the investigation itself pretty simple and the plot predictable.
The dialogs are pretty long, but I didn't find them boring or redundant.
It is not a very long game to finish once - but you should definitely try it at least twice and make different decisions. It's getting better every time, and there is much to explore.
A little short yes, but very well done. Should have a sequel or something.
