The AGS Panel is a team of AGS forum veterans who play all of the games here, and give them ratings from one to five cups. The rating system is as follows:
1 Cup Not serious entertainment
2 Cups A reasonable game, worth a try
3 Cups A good game, worth playing
4 Cups A great game, well worth your time
5 Cups An outstanding, must-play game!
Feel free to disagree with the panel's rating, and please don't be offended if you think your game has been underrated!

(Why has my game been rated 1 cup?)

If your game has been rated 1 cup, please don't be offended! It's common for your first game release to get a 1-cup rating, due to the game having a lack of polish and flair -- which is understandable, because you're just getting started!

Please understand that the main purpose of the ratings is to help potential game players find high quality, bug-free games to play. You've probably learnt a lot about AGS as a result of making your first game -- so why not use that knowledge to start afresh, and do even better with your next game!

AGS Panel Review

"An improvement, but not much of one. All the same problems remain, and the mix-and-match graphical style is as off-putting as ever."

5 people commented on this game (newest first):

I coulnd't play the entire game, even with the walkthrough, sorry. Too confused, I can't understand a thing, and the graphics are not immersive. Much more bugs to make this game enjoyable, too.
I will try your others game, anyway.

Despite the author's inflamed reaction to the first review, shown at the bottom, said review is actually quite accurate, as it mentions the author's immediately recogniseable style and its shortcomings.

Indeed, it's true of all of this author's games (which I've played) that makes navigation confusing, pixel-hunting a nasty surprise, weird puzzles that require mind-reading of the game's author, and offers often a buggy experience. Said bugs are often minor, but you can always count on at least one game-stopping game. Stories in his games are also always confusing, often presenting a strange mish-mash of elements that look pretty but just don't fit.

Thankfully, the game offers a walkthrough, however it also features a room with a lot of flying around, trying to click and to make the character stand on weird places. At this point I gave up. When a game isn't fun playing, not even with a walkthrough, then it's just not worth it, and those are my 2 cents.

And since these comments are tending towards personal messages - Splat, if it's buggy it's buggy. If there was only one beta-tester then it's the author's fault for not getting more testers, which is a tough job. When posting comments one should never worry about "being considerate", otherwise we'd be gettting "considerate" praise to bad games and we'd be up to here in bad games getting "considerate" reviews

I have 6 games. You haven't played any of them so don't download them anymore!

Room Transitions: Walk off the left, right, bottom or top and you're in a new room. Not so difficult to comprehend.

The Game is Buggy: It's been beta tested and no one else thought it was buggy in the least.

Interactions seem weird: What are you talking about?!

Constructive Criticism: You've never given constructive criticism. You've never played one of my games but still you post on how much you hate my games.

Get a clue. Don't download any of my games. Don't play any of my games. Don't comment on any of my games.

Another very promising looking game by this author that I can't make myself to play. There is something about his style that doesn't let me get into the game. As usual the graphics are confusing, the room transitions hard to find, the game is very buggy and the interactions just seem weird.

I'm sorry that I'm not giving constructive criticism, but I can't, since although I really wanted to like this game enough to play it, I just couldn't.
